Expanded polyethylene is the packaging material that is obtained as a result of a chemical or physical expansion process. It is 100% recyclable and sustainable due to its possible reuse. Its cellular structure, which can be open-cell (chemical expansion) or closed-cell (physical expansion), makes it light, elastic, impermeable to water, resistant to compression and suitable for thermal-acoustic insulation.
The microcellulation process allows the bubbles not to deflate or burst, unlike bubble wrap.
Polyethylene foam is non-abrasive and non-corrosive protection and is clean and moisture resistant, making it the ideal packaging to protect heavy objects during shipping from scratches and bumps. Available in sheets or rolls in different sizes and thicknesses, it can be laminated to other materials or adhesively bonded.
