Low Density Polyethylene (Low Density) is a thermoplastic material made from petroleum and composed of carbon and hydrogen. It is durable but tends to deform due to low elasticity. It is produced in translucent or opaque varieties and is impermeable to water. It is resistant to many chemical solvents and concentrated solutions of acids and alcohols and can withstand temperatures up to 80°C.
