High Density Polyethylene (HDPE) is a thermoplastic material made from petroleum and composed of carbon and hydrogen, so it is resistant to methane gas permeability as well as solvents, UV rays, weathering and abrasion. It is hard and opaque and can withstand temperatures end 110°C. It is ideal for food contact because it is a tasteless, odorless and nontoxic polymer.
